Some info about resort ‘Belakurikha’

The microclimate, the mountain landscape and mineral water springs form the natural and medicinal factors of resort ‘Belokurikha’. The climate of the resort is characterized by relatively high average annual temperature (+4°C), mild winters, not very hot summer, warm spring and autumn, mostly windless weather, brief morning frosts giving place to thaws, constant atmospheric pressure (no abrupt fluctuations), great number of clear sunny days per year. All these favorable climatic conditions contribute to the activation of patients' metabolism processes, and are auspicious for health-improving procedures. The content of light aeroions (the main therapeutic element of mountain air) in Belokurikha equals 1014 up to 2400, which two times exceeds its content in Davos - a world-famous resort in Switzerland. Such air ionization, especially that in the adjacent hills or terraces has a positive influence upon the general state of the patient, makes one feel full of energy. Nitrogen-and silicium- containing thermal water rises to the surface at the temperature of 30°C - 42°C and contains radon elements (0.2 kB/l), fluorine (18 mg/l), a lot of nitrogen (25%), silicic acid (60 mg/l), as well as other various microelements. Alkaline water (pH=9.5), 0.3g/l mineralization. Today, 'Belokurikhinskaya-Vostochnaya' mineral drinking water is used at the resort, as well as Altai sulphide-silt curative mud. Integrated approach forms the basics of spa treatment in Belokurikha, giving wide opportunities for using spa therapeutic factors, therapeutic diet, physiotherapy exercises, as well organization of recreation activities, tourism and sport.

Sanatorium "Belokurikha" is located in the opening part of the resort area and is designed to accommodate 810 guests (one-bedded and two-bedded rooms, suits, apartments). In 2001, the sanatorium was given a three-star category. Diseases of cardiovascular and nervous systems, disbolism, locomotor system, gynaecological, skin and respiratory diseases are treated on the basis of this sanatorium. All of these indications are traditional for Belokurikha's field of specialization. The most contemporary therapeutic department is connected with the sanatorium buildings by a covered passage, and offers a complex of therapeutic procedures.

Guests are offered a smorgasbord system of nutrition. Cardiological rehabilitation center and rehabilitation center for women and teenage girls (which is unique not only for Siberia, but for the Russian Federation as well) are situated in this sanatorium. The purpose of such rehabilitation is full health recovery, as well as the restoration of the psychological status, capacity for work for people who lost these as the result of their diseases.

Sanatorium 'Sibir' is located in the heart of the resort area and is designed to accommodate 420 guests (two-bedded and one-bedded rooms, suits).
